Wicked Tuna is a National Geographic reality tv series that follows commercial bluefin tuna fishermen in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The tv show debuted in 2012 and is now filming its fifth tuna season.

Where do Wicked Tuna boats fish?

Wicked Tuna is filmed in multiple locations but most of the boats on the shows home port is in Gloucester, Massachusetts. These boats include f/v Tuna.com, Hard Merchandise, Wicked Pissah, Lilly, and the Krystiana. Other boat ports include Rye, NH (Pinwheel) and Portland, ME (Erin and Sarah). The boats spend the majority of their time at sea fishing on underwater structures that hold all kinds of marine life including the elusive yet valuable North Atlantic Bluefin Tuna. Some of these structures include Georges Bank, Stellwagon Bank, Jeffries Ledge, Fippennies bank, and Platts Bank.

Wicked Tuna follows a fleet of boats that fish for the Giant Bluefin Tuna out of Gloucester. Some of the captains have found success and built new boats while others have reinvested their profits from the sea back into there boats.  Once a mate on the Tuna.com, Paul Hebert, bought his own boat and now as taken over the role as a captain.
